Workers at the Home Depot branch located in the Dorada shopping plaza, in the city of Oaxaca, adopted a street dog named Silicón and now he has his house inside the store and even a uniform to work there.The branch manager was in charge of giving the go-ahead for the puppy to be adopted as a pet and a living space was set up for it, providing it with a wooden house that was specially designed and a personalized uniform;while the workers of the place will be in charge of feeding him and cleaning his space.Ernesto Méndez, one of the workers there, explained that Silicón came to the store one day and began to take shelter among the merchandise displayed outside the store, which made the staff take a liking to him and they decided to adopt him and even give him a job in the children's workshop.Silicón's story is reminiscent of other cases of adoption, which show that pets by well-known brands occur at all levels, such as in the State of Mexico, where the managers of a gas station gave shelter to a stray dog.Previously, a Pedigree company store decided to make pet adoption part of its business by launching a campaign that was entirely dedicated to promoting the adoption of these animals, as a way to raise awareness of the situation that thousands of dogs live and cats on the streets of Mexico.
